Lindisfarne Castle gets a makeover
Posted 25th May, 2018
I haven’t taken a picture of Lindisfarne Castle (Holy Island, Northumberland) because right now it is swathed in scaffolding.
Out on the eastern fringe of the island the fabric of the building has been under constant pressure from the elements – so work is under way to remedy the damage done to the castle over the years.
This work is due to finish this year.
However it is still a pleasant walk from the village to the castle.
