Delectable swans at Berwick upon Tweed
Posted 12th August, 2018
One of the lovely attractions of Berwick is the birds that are the second largest group of mute swans in Britain.
(The largest being found at Abbotsbury in Dorset) The photo shows some of the birds at Tweedmouth which is on the south side of the estuary.
At peak times there can be as many as 800 birds here.
More joining in late summer or winter for the annual moult or simply to enjoy the rich river feeding.
