Bracing winter walk at Bamburgh
Posted 19th January, 2020

Bamburgh Castle must be one of the most photographed castles in the UK.
However visitors find the beach walk most enjoyable not least because of the looming presence of the castle but also looking out eastwards you can see the Farne islands.
In the distance on the horizon the red and white of the Longstone lighthouse catches the eye.
This building is near to the site of the famous rescue of survivors of the Forfarshire wreck in 1838 by Grace Darling and her father.
